NaNoWriMo
Started yesterday. So far I'm doing pretty well on my word count and I'm having a lot of fun with my idea so far. And I hope my fellow participants are having fun with their novels so far!! : D
If you're not sure what NaNo is you can read THIS - but in short its 50,000 words of novel in 1 month. Don't worry its not a serious competition (unless you make it one! Which is quiet fun when you're challenging your friends) nor is it something just for aspiring writers. Its for any one, of any age and you don't even have to be a good writer (because goodness knows that most of the writing that comes out of the month is absolute crap).
So for any first timers or third timer or tenth timers or who ever you may be this is my little list of helpful hints :) And just a little FYI, this is in no particular order :)
so long for now my dearest readers, I'm back off to NaNoLand!!

So for any first timers or third timer or tenth timers or who ever you may be this is my little list of helpful hints :) And just a little FYI, this is in no particular order :)
- Write EVERYDAY if you can. but if you can't, that's okay too. But ALWAYS try to catch up on the weekends, especially if you're a student, because for me, weekends helped me so much in the last few years.
- Plan Ahead. October is always the month that I use for planning my basic plots and try to fill out as many character questionairs as possible, why? Because I have to KNOW my characters before I can CONTROL my characters.
- Listen to music as you write. Music = Inspiration = Motivation = Words.
- You don't need to write in chronological order. "Write the scenes which interest you, not necessarily the next scene in order." - Quote found Here :D
- LONG DESCRIPTIONS = FRIENDS So you remember back in high school (or right now in Dr. Thomas's accelerated college reading class if you're me :P) when you read the Tale of Two Cities and wondered why Dickens had to be so dang descriptive about EVERYTHING!, well he was secretly participating in NaNoWriMo, so just think of it all this way, write like Dickens, describe a fleck of dust that landed on your main characters glasses if need be and don't hold back from telling the dirty details of that messy vanity in his little sisters bedroom!
- Get friends to write with you. Friends are especially helpful when you get a case of writers block or when you get too lonely to just keep on writing.
- If you are easily distracted. Then there are several distraction free writing programs that you can easily google to find : D
- Find a writing schedule. It'll help you stay in a nice little routine : )
- Paper first, computer second. I know that this probably goes against EVERYTHING that EVERYONE has told you for the month but for me I find that if I write everything out on paper first then in the evenings after school I type everything out, I can easily get more words because I add more details to the writing and make things sound better using more description and what not, and this is all because I....
- DON'T THROW OUT THAT INNER EDITOR! I know that EVERYONE says not to "edit" as you go but, I do. I do it because through rereading what I had written earlier in the month I start to add things to it and change up somethings that I had and in the end it sounds better and I get quiet a few more words then I originally would have out of it. But don't go off and edit every little grammar mistake, that's what second and third drafts are for, but do go back and read through to see if you can add anything else to your story.
- Just RELAX! Its really not as scary if you just take a moment to breath, some distractions are good, and by all means necessary! Go take a shower, eat that hot meal you've been craving, after all you need some rest to keep the creativity flowing!
so long for now my dearest readers, I'm back off to NaNoLand!!

Gaia Commission - Eliana Isabella
Blue Lines XD

So this is just my base crap - I'm in the process of adding details and making it look pretty.
So basically the version of the picture (above this one) the file somehow got corrupted so I had to start over on almost all of the details of the skirts, hair, lips, eyes and random accessories that are gold. - In other words Im not a very happy camper right now.
